How PVD coating works?

PVD Coating Process:

Fix the the tap or shower mixer body with a clamp, then hanging them into the treatment furnace.

Vacuum Treatment

Evacuate the treatment furnace until the vacuum conditions (basic pressure) do not affect the formation of the coating. If the amount of air remaining in the furnace exceeds the allowable amount, an oxide film will form on the surface of the tap and shower mixer in the next "heating" process, resulting in poor adhesion.

Heating

Evaporate the impurities (mainly water) attached to the surface of the tap and shower mixer.  Even a very small amount of moisture can cause poor adhesion, so the temperature in the furnace must be properly managed and controlled, and all surface of faucet and shower mixer must be fully heated.

Etching

Argon ions are used to impact the surface of the tap and shower mixer to remove impurities (mainly oxide films).  WATEROPERATE's equipment can generate powerful Ar gas plasma and perform uniform control to achieve ideal etching effects and excellent coating adhesion.

Coating

An arc discharge is performed between the metal material used for coating and the treatment furnace (chamber). The metal material will be vaporized into a plasma state and the coating elements will be ionized. Subsequently, as long as a negative voltage is applied to the surface of tap ware and shower mixer, the ionized elements will hit the the surface of tap ware and shower mixer at high speed to form a coating.
